Struktur
Sermorelin entspricht den Aminosäuren 1–29 des humanen GHRH mit C-terminalem Amid. Es bindet an den GHRH-Rezeptor der Hypophyse und wird rasch durch DPP-4 abgebaut.
Forschungsschwerpunkte
Untersucht werden die pulsatile Freisetzung von Wachstumshormon, die Funktion der somatotropen Achse und Vergleiche mit stabilisierten Analoga wie Mod GRF 1-29.
Einordnung
Ein früheres Sermorelin-Präparat wurde vom Markt genommen; in der EU besteht keine Zulassung. Sermorelin steht auf der Verbotsliste der WADA.
