Structure
Livagen consists of lysine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid and alanine. It was described as a short signalling peptide in the Russian bioregulator research around V. Khavinson.
State of research
Studies examined chromatin decondensation in lymphocytes of elderly donors, gene expression and enzyme activity in liver and gut models.
Status
Livagen is not approved as a medicinal product; studies come mainly from one research group.
