What is Tirzepatide?
Tirzepatide is a linear 39-amino-acid peptide that resembles native GIP at the GIP receptor and also activates the GLP-1 receptor. A C20 diacid side chain extends its half-life through albumin binding.

State of research
The clinical programme is large: the SURPASS trials studied tirzepatide in type 2 diabetes and the SURMOUNT trials in obesity, each over 40 to 72 weeks with thousands of participants. In several head-to-head comparisons, changes in HbA1c and body weight exceeded those with semaglutide.
For basic research the open question is why adding GIP activity strengthens the effect, even though GIP alone does little in type 2 diabetes. Proposed explanations include GIP receptor resensitisation, effects in adipose tissue and central appetite pathways.
Status and quality
Tirzepatide is approved as a medicine in the EU. The material offered here is not a medicinal product. Peptidkauf sells Tirzepatide solely as a research reagent for laboratory and in-vitro use and gives no dosing or application advice.
An independent laboratory tests every batch for purity (HPLC), identity and measured content before it goes on sale; the reports and their verification keys are in the lab report archive. The material ships as lyophilised powder in a glass vial; storage and laboratory handling are covered under storage & handling.
