What is eloralintide?
Like cagrilintide, eloralintide is an amylin analogue, but with different receptor selectivity: it acts mainly on complexes of the calcitonin receptor and a RAMP protein and only weakly on the calcitonin receptor alone. Molar mass about 4,526 g/mol.
Research status
Published clinical data concern mainly tolerability, pharmacokinetics and effects on body weight in early trial phases. Preclinically, the question is whether higher amylin-receptor selectivity improves efficacy and tolerability. Long-term data are not yet available.
Status
Not approved; in clinical development. Research use only, without usage or dosing advice.
