Structure

Eloralintide is a synthetic peptide modified for a long duration of action. It acts on amylin receptor complexes (calcitonin receptor plus RAMP) and activates the calcitonin receptor alone much more weakly.

State of research

The compound is being studied in clinical trials; published data cover tolerability, pharmacokinetics and effects on body weight. Preclinically, the focus is on how receptor selectivity shapes efficacy and tolerability.

Status

No marketing authorisation. At Peptidkauf it is available as eloralintide.
