Structure

Cagrilintide is an acylated amylin analogue that reaches a half-life of several days through albumin binding. It activates amylin receptors (calcitonin receptor with RAMP proteins) and the calcitonin receptor itself.

State of research

Cagrilintide is being studied clinically alone and in combination with semaglutide. Preclinical and clinical work addresses satiety signalling, gastric emptying and glucagon secretion.

Status

There is no marketing authorisation. At Peptidkauf it is available as cagrilintide; the lab report identifies it as cagrilintide.
