Term
Thymalin originally referred to a peptide complex from calf thymus. Synthetic products under this name typically contain a defined peptide; for Peptidkauf batches the lab determines thymulin.
Thymulin
Thymulin (facteur thymique sérique) is a zinc-dependent nonapeptide of thymic epithelial cells. It is studied in connection with T-cell maturation, cytokine regulation and neuroendocrine interactions.
Status
No marketing authorisation in the EU.
