What is PEG-MGF?
MGF refers to the C-terminal E-peptide of the IGF-1 splice variant IGF-1Ec, which is produced in muscle after mechanical load. PEGylation extends the half-life of the otherwise rapidly degraded peptide.

State of research
Mechano growth factor was described by Geoffrey Goldspink's group at University College London in the late 1990s: after stretch or injury, muscle preferentially makes an IGF-1 variant whose E-peptide acts on its own.
Cell and animal studies ask whether this E-peptide activates muscle satellite cells and triggers repair; further work concerns heart muscle and nerve tissue after ischaemia. Results are mixed, and some groups could not confirm independent effects of the E-peptide. There are no human data.
Status and quality
PEG-MGF is not approved as a medicine and is on the WADA Prohibited List. Peptidkauf sells PEG-MGF solely as a research reagent for laboratory and in-vitro use and gives no dosing or application advice.
An independent laboratory tests every batch for purity (HPLC), identity and measured content before it goes on sale; the reports and their verification keys are in the lab report archive. The material ships as lyophilised powder in a glass vial; storage and laboratory handling are covered under storage & handling.
